Ingredients

  • 1 fresh pineapple, peeled, cored, and cut into rings or spears
  • 2 tbsp honey (plus more for drizzling, optional)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp melted butter or neutral oil (like canola or avocado oil)
  • Pinch of salt (optional, enhances flavour)

How to make it

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Clean and lightly oil the grates to avoid sticking.
  2. In a small bowl mix together the melted butter or neutral oil, honey, cinnamon and a pinch of salt.
  3. Brush both sides of the pineapple slices or spears with the glaze.
  4. Place pineapple directly on the grill.
  5. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side or until nice grill marks form and the edges begin to caramelize.
  6. Drizzle with extra honey (optional). Serve warm and enjoy!
