Samaritan Club of Calgary

The Samaritan Club of Calgary is a local charity that has been supporting Calgarians in need since 1910, raising funds throughout the year through donations and their famous Super Thrift Sales held twice-annually in the spring and fall. It is in need of volunteers for this spring’s sale on April 25, 2026, at the Hillhurst Sunnyside Community Centre. Three shifts are available – Thursday, April 23, 7 am – 9 pm set up, Friday, April 24, 9 am – 1 pm set up, and Saturday, April 25, 8 am – 3 pm sale day. Registering in advance is required by emailing Petra Mandock at pmandock@samaritanclub.ca

Calgary Meals on Wheels

We always need extra hands to deliver meals between 10:30am-1pm weekdays. This opportunity will require the use of your own vehicles. Training is provided onsite one hour prior to delivery time at our main facility.

Help Unison at Kerby Centre feed seniors in Calgary! Our Thrive Food Security programs are looking for volunteers to help with grocery shopping and delivery to homebound seniors in the community, as well as food rescue pickups that support our Free Food Markets.
