Special Attributes: Raised on a small-scale farm, I developed an early appreciation for how food connects people and communities. Through my education in agriculture and environmental science, I learned to evaluate the sustainability of food systems and understand that connecting people with food production is essential for long-term sustainability and community resilience.
I gained experience in government relations, labour relations, and member engagement while working for a union, and I have held positions on other boards, including as President and chair. I have learned how essential trust, communication, and transparency are for strengthening organizations and empowering members to achieve collective goals.
My combined experience in agricultural sustainability and member engagement makes me well-positioned to serve the member-owners of the Calgary Co-op.

Why serve: I am running because I value the Calgary Co-op and strongly believe in promoting the cooperative principles. If elected, I will champion access and affordability of healthy, sustainable groceries while cultivating member engagement, ownership, and community resilience to ensure that Calgary Co-op remains not only a great place to shop, but a strong, connected community of engaged member-owners.
