Attributes: I have over 40 years of executive leadership experience in complex, growth-oriented organizations with a strong finance and governance background. I’ve been the CFO of both public and private companies for over 19 years and earned a reputation for uncompromised integrity.
I’ve had direct responsibility for all aspects of capital markets, finance, investor relations, business development, information technology, enterprise risk management, pension plan oversight, law and contracts, procurement, logistics, and aspects of government relations. I’ve been extensively involved in strategic planning, key operational and capital investment decisions, and adoption of AI.
I have a strong commitment to safety and the environment having managed organizations who follow the responsible care ethical framework, with a visible commitment to ESG.
Why serve: I strongly believe that Calgary Co-op has the right vision, mission, and values to continue to be a highly successful co-operative. With the significant acquisitions made over the past few years, Calgary Co-op has become far more complex operationally and financially with multiple lines of business and subsidiaries across Canada, which will benefit from my comprehensive finance and strategic business leadership experience in complex organizations.
