Ingredients

  • 8 slices thick sliced white bread
  • 6 slices Cal & Gary’s Thick Sliced Bacon
  • 4 Cal & Gary’s Eggs
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • ½ cup Plain Yoghurt
  • 1 package Cal & Gary’s Mixed Berries
  • 2 Tbsp. powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 3 - 4 Tbsp. butter

How to Make It

1.

Pre heat oven to 375°F.

Place bacon onto a parchment lined sheet pan and sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake for 15-20 minutes until crispy. Remove from the oven and slice into match sticks.

In a small bowl, combine the yoghurt, powdered sugar and vanilla. Set aside for later.

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, milk and cream.

Melt 2 tbsp of butter in a large pan.

Dip the bread into the batter and then cook on medium heat until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. You may need to do this in batches.

7.

To serve, put the French toast on a plate, top with yoghurt, berries and candied bacon. Enjoy with real maple syrup!
