What are the special attributes and experience that make you a strong candidate for Calgary Co-op’s board?

Experienced technology leader, I bring board-ready strengths in governance, financial stewardship, and risk oversight. I’ve managed multi-million-dollar programs across telecom, data centers, and education, aligning budgets, KPIs, and vendor performance to measurable outcomes. I lead AI/data initiatives with a privacy-by-design approach that improves forecasting, inventory turns, shrink, and member engagement—without compromising trust. I build partnerships with local producers, community groups, and industry to expand market access and community impact. My style: prepare deeply, ask respectful but tough questions, disclose and manage conflicts, and speak with one voice once decisions are made. I’m committed to affordability, local prosperity, and transparent, cooperative governance.

Why do you want to serve on the Calgary Co-op Board of Directors?

I’m running to strengthen member value and local prosperity. As a technology/operations leader, I’ll pair cooperative values with disciplined governance—affordability, supplier development with Alberta producers, and clear oversight of finances, risk, privacy and cyber. I will prepare deeply, ask respectful but tough questions, and measure outcomes transparently so members feel value at the till and pride in their Co-op.
