General FAQ

Our current online shopping platform, GrocerKey, was acquired by Instacart and will be shut down on April 8. To keep your online shopping seamless, we’re moving to Instacart Storefront and Instacart Marketplace starting April 9.

Instacart Storefront is our own online store, just like our current shop online platform. You’ll log in with your existing credentials, and you can choose delivery or curbside pickup.

Instacart Marketplace lets you shop from multiple retailers in one place. You’ll need to create an Instacart account to shop here, and delivery or curbside pickup is available.

Any orders not submitted by April 8 will need to be recreated on the new Instacart platform.

Use the same URL: shoponline.calgarycoop.com or app links you do now. You’ll be redirected to the Storefront and log in with your existing Calgary Co-op credentials.

Yes, it will look a little different, but it’s easier to search for items.

At this time, you will not be able to redeem coupons online including App Exclusive Offers, Personalized Offers, App Game Wins or Challenges.

Yes, Calgary Co-op members will continue to earn Patronage on their online orders. They will be
required to provide their Calgary Co-op member number to Instacart when placing their order,
and the picker will enter their member number at the till when ringing through the purchase.

If an item is listed at Member Exclusive Pricing (MEP), it will show the original price scratched out with the MEP price listed below.

Non-Calgary Co-op members will not see the two prices listed; they will only see the regular
price.

You can earn Calgary Co-op Bonus Cash on online purchases using the app, but you can only redeem it in-store.

Product selection and availability vary between our stores and our website. If you see a product in a store, it might not be available online.

Delivery

Instacart manages picking and delivery. Your order will come from the store closest to your delivery address. This means more delivery time options, faster delivery, and you can schedule same-day delivery or up to seven days in advance.

Fees for delivery will stay the same as they are now during the transition. The grocery delivery fee is still $9.99, and waived on orders over $200.

Delivery is available during store hours in Calgary and surrounding areas including: Cochrane, Okotoks, High River, Airdrie, Bearspaw, Harmony, Chestermere, Strathmore and DeWinton.

Enter your street address on the shopping site to check eligibility. Orders cannot be delivered to PO Boxes.

Tipping is optional, but appreciated. 100% of tips go directly to the delivery driver.

Have a valid government-issued photo ID ready. The driver will check it against the name on your order. IDs must be original, not expired, and show your name, photo, signature, date of birth, and a unique ID number.

Curbside Pickup

Pickup fees and process will remain the same. A fixed $2.99 fee applies per order. Orders over $125 are free of the pickup convenience fee.

We’ll do our best to accommodate you, but arriving outside your scheduled pickup window may cause a short delay.

Bring your Ready for Pickup email and a valid government-issued photo ID. Go to the designated pickup area, call the number on the sign, and your order will be brought out to your vehicle.
