September 18, 2025 – Calgary – Calgary Co-operative Association Limited (“Calgary Co-op”) has officially opened a new Calgary Co-op Food Centre, Pharmacy, Gas Station and Wine Spirits Beer store in the community of Greystone in Cochrane.

A 41,000 Square-Foot Food Centre

The new store features all the amenities and services of a traditional Calgary Co-op store with a strong focus on fresh, local and convenience.

Highlights include:  

  • Pharmacy Walk-In Clinic – online booking for consultations, vaccinations and injections, prescription renewals and treatment for common ailments. Two private consultation rooms

(one family -friendly). Additional services include travel health advice, strep throat testing, diabetes management, chronic disease management, lab requisitions, and secure digital access to prescription profiles

  • Health and Wellness – a large Natural Choice area supported by a dedicated advisor
  • Community Room – free meeting space for local groups with seating for 16
  • Meat and Seafood – full-service counters and Calgary Co-op’s exclusive Dry Aged Only Alberta Black Angus beef program
  • Deli and Ready- to-eat – gourmet toasted sandwiches, Bento sushi, Wing & Things (hand-breaded chicken and sides), plus convenient meal solutions
  • Cheese Island – hundreds of cheeses, specialty products and a Mediterranean Olive Bar
  • Bakery – freshly baked goods, custom celebration cakes and specialty treats
  • Floral and Produce – a wide selection of fresh-cut flowers and plants as well as fresh fruits and vegetables from local, Western and Canada-wide growers where possible

Fuel, Convenience and More

The new Calgary Co-op Gas station features 10 fueling pumps, a touchless car wash, propane filling and a modern convenience store offering brewed-on-demand Cal & Gary’s coffee, grab and go snacks, and a slushie and soft serve ice cream machine.

Cochrane’s Second Wine Spirits Beer

Calgary Co-op is proud to open it second Wine Spirits Beer location in Cochrane. The Greystone location features a tasting bar, expansive wines and spirits collection, walk-in cooler with local craft beers and ready to drink cocktails, plus a wide range of non-alcoholic options.

The new location will support hundreds of local producers, ranchers and farmers, while also creating more than 130 jobs in Cochrane. The development will also feature several new tenants.

Calgary Co-op will also extend its award-winning Fresh Food Rescue Program to Cochrane, partnering with the local food bank to provide fresh produce, meat, dairy, and grocery items to residents in need, while reducing food waste in stores.

The Food Centre, Pharmacy, Gas Station and Wine Spirits Beer store are now open daily.
