We offer our employees a Tuition Assistance Program and a Scholarship Program to assist them and their families with their academic aspirations.
Tuition Assistance Program
Our Tuition Assistance Program provides eligible part-time employees with 50% tuition fee reimbursement upon successful completion and eligible full-time employees with 75% tuition fee reimbursement upon successful completion of their respective training course or program.
Calgary Co-op Employee Scholarship Program
Each year, we award scholarships to our employees and/or the children of employees who meet the criteria for receiving a scholarship.

At Calgary Co-op, we believe we have the top employees in the industry. When our employees perform beyond expectations, accomplish difficult objectives and surpass goals, we recognize those achievements through our “Smile Rewards” Program.
Our program has two components:
Performance Recognition:
This program allows our employee’s to be recognized by receiving “Smile Points” for demonstrating one of our core values. These points can be redeemed for amazing gifts online.
Service Awards:
We celebrate employee career milestones with “Smile Points” at one year, three years, five years and every five years of service thereafter.
Eligible Retiring Employees receive “Smile Points” which they can redeem for a gift online and are invited to celebrate at a reception which is held twice a year.
We understand the importance of teamwork and building relationships at work. One of the ways we do this is by having social committees that organize various events throughout the year.
Since most of our locations are disbursed geographically in and around Calgary, each centre and head office has their own Social Committee, which is responsible for organizing events for employees, and recognizing special occasions.
We believe the overall well-being of every employee is important. Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available to every Calgary Co-op employee and their immediate family members. Our EAP is an immediate, confidential and voluntary support service that can help you understand or resolve challenging situations or circumstances through a variety of resources.
Confidential support is available by telephone, in person, online and through a variety of issue-based health and wellness resources.
