Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. pork loin roast cut into 2 steaks
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 cups panko bread crumbs
  • 3 Tbsp. Parmesan, grated
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 cups Italian cheese mix
  • ½ cup marinara sauce
  • 4 basil leaves
  • Caesar salad

How to Make It

Preheat oven to 375°F.

In a bowl mix flour with salt, pepper and garlic powder.

In a separate bowl beat egg with water.

In a third bowl mix panko with Parmesan.

Now it’s time to bread the pork. Place pork in flour, now dip into egg wash and then into the panko, making sure to squeeze the bread crumbs into the pork.

Heat a frying pan with oil to medium high and add the pork steaks. Brown on all sides and then set aside.

Place on a parchment lined baking tray.

Now cover the pork with marinara sauce. Add the basil leaves on top of the marinara and finish with the cheese mix.

Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and the pork has reached 145°F internally. You can broil for 2-5 minutes at the end to help brown the top.

10.

Remove from the oven and serve with Caesar salad.
