Ingredients

  • 4 links of your favorite Spolumbo’s sausages
  • 4 panini rolls
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 250 ml Spolumbo’s marinara sauce
  • 1 green pepper (cut julienne style)
  • ½ large onion (cut julienne style)
  • Mustard to taste – spicy dijon or a grainy country-style adds an authentic European experience
  • 250 ml jar of sauerkraut

How to Make It

1.

Bake or barbecue sausages for 25-30 mins at medium grill heat or in a pre-heated oven set to 375 °F. Recommend using a meat thermometer – always cook pork or poultry to an internal temperature of 165°F.

2.

While the sausages are cooking you can prepare your condiments.

3.

Heat up the marinara sauce in a small saucepan – around 5 mins at medium heat.

4.

Add olive oil to a medium heat frying pan with peppers and onions, sauté until soft and onions are clear.

5.

Slice buns open along the edge, be careful not to slice completely through.

6.

Place cooked sausages in the bun, garnish with your favorite fixins.

Goes great with coleslaw, and a side of crispy kettle chips.
