Ingredients

  • 1 wheel double cream brie
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • ¼ cup fresh cranberries, sliced
  • Toppings:
  • ½ cup crushed pecans
  • Zest of half an orange
  • Maple Caramel:
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 2 Tbsp. maple syrup
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Pinch coarse sea salt

How to Make It

1.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place brie on cast iron skillet, sprinkle with brown sugar and sliced cranberries, bake for 12-15 mins.

In a medium saucepan melt butter on medium heat.

Using a wooden spoon, stir in brown sugar until fully dissolved.

4.

Stirring continuously, slowly pour in the cream, continue to stir while bringing caramel to a boil.

5.

Cook until caramel is thickened as desired.

6.

Take off heat, mix in maple syrup, spices and salt. Let cool slightly.

7.

Pour over baked brie and garnish with pecans and orange zest.
