Pre-heat oven to 350°F.
In a mixing bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, and baking powder.
Add the eggs, butter and combine.
Fold in the cheese and the jalapenos.
Top each meatloaf with the cornbread batter and then place into the oven.
Bake for 25-35 minutes until meatloaf reaches 155°F.
If cornbread crust starts to darken cover with foil while the meatloaf finishes cooking.
While meatloaf is baking, in a medium pan add the potatoes and cover with cold water.
Bring to a boil and then turn down to a simmer.
Simmer for about 20 minutes until potatoes are tender.
Drain the potatoes, toss with butter, chives, salt and pepper.
Remove meatloaf from the oven, serve with chive-buttered potatoes, and BBQ sauce.
