Ingredients

  • 7 cups Puffed Wheat (plain)
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar (packed)
  • 1/3 cup Honey
  • 1/4 cup Cocoa
  • Handful Chopped Nuts and/or Dried Fruit (optional)

How to Make It

1.

In a small saucepan, stir together 1/4 cup butter, 1 cup packed brown sugar, 1/3 cup honey and 1/4 cup cocoa; stir over medium heat until melted and smooth.

Pour over 7 cups of plain puffed wheat in a large bowl (if you like, add a handful of chopped nuts and/or dried fruit, too) and quickly stir to coat completely.

3.

Press into a 9”x13” greased pan and let stand or refrigerate until set.

4.

Cut into 20 squares.

Per square: 97 calories, 2.3 g fat (1.5 g saturated), 0.8 g protein, 0.5 g fibre.
