Sprinkle the dry rub all over the surface of the ribs and rub all over to coat the surface.
Preheat the oven to 300°F. Place the ribs meat side up on a foil-lined rimmed baking sheet, and cover the pan completely with foil. Bake for 2 1/2 hours. Remove the foil and slather the ribs generously with barbecue sauce. Turn the heat up to 425˚F and roast for another half hour, or until the surface is caramelized.
