In a blender, whip 1 to 1 1/2 cups milk (regular, almond or soy) with a small handful of ice cubes, 1 banana, broken into chunks (frozen or not), 1 tbsp cocoa and 1 tsp instant espresso powder.

Pulse until well blended, frothy and smooth-ish.
3.
Serve immediately. (To increase the protein content, add a scoop of protein powder, a spoonful of peanut butter or swap half the milk for plain Greek yogurt, which is higher in protein than regular yogurt.)
