Baked Meatball Pasta

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg Spolumbo’s fresh Italian meatballs
  • 1 small onion, chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, seeded and chopped ( optional)
  • 1/2 small zucchini, chopped (optional)
  • 3 cups tomato sauce
  • 250-375 g rotini or penne pasta
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella
  • extra virgin olive oil, for cooking

How to Make It

1.

Preheat the oven to 350˚F.

In a large skillet, cook the meatballs in a drizzle of olive oil until cooked through. If you like, add some onion, pepper and/or zucchini to the pan along with the meatballs, cooking them until soft.

Stir in the tomato sauce.

Meanwhile, cook the rotini or penne until al dente, drain and pour into a baking dish.

5.

Top with the meatballs and sauce, then scatter with cheese. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
