The Destination - India

India is the most extraordinary country -- a dizzying, creative blend of cultures, religions, races and tongues. It's a country where you'll discover many paths leading to lands of magic, magnificence and mystery.

Home to nearly 1 billion people, India is second only to China as the most populated nation in the world. There are seven major religions; Hinduism is the most common (80% of the population). Although Hindi is the official language, English is widely spoken in towns and cities. The best time to travel is during the cool, dry season between November and March.

I visited India on a TourEast Holidays coach tour that included a professional, knowledgeable tour escort from Creative Travel, along with a driver and his assistant. Our journey took us from Delhi to Agra and Jaipur, covering one of the most historical and fascinating regions of India.

Transportation, accommodation, sightseeing excursions and some meals were included, which made for a hassle-free and enjoyable holiday. I would recommend a tour such as this as the best way to see India, especially if it's your first visit, or your time is limited.
