Rudie, Travel Manager

My first job in the travel industry was in High River in 1985. In 1997, I joined Calgary Co-op Travel working in the Shawnessy Centre.

My travel adventures have taken me to many destinations including, most recently, cruising the Mediterranean. Other cruises I have enjoyed include the Panama Canal, Caribbean and Alaska. I have travelled extensively around the world including: Canada, USA, Mexico, Costa Rico, Caribbean, England, Scotland, Greece, Egypt, Israel, Africa, Holland, Switzerland, Germany, Scandinavia, Thailand, China, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.

I am pleased to assist you, your family, friends and colleagues with any travel requirements you are dreaming about.

I have been in the travel industry since 2008, and have helped many clients achieve their travel dreams including cruises to the Caribbean, Alaska, Europe, Hawaii, Panama Canal and motor coach tours to Europe, Canada, and USA. One of my favourite destinations is Disneyland because of the excitement involved in the planning for families.

I have visited many exciting destinations including: Canada, USA, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and, most recently, Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji.

My job is one of the most exciting jobs in the world because I never know what I am going to be doing, never knowing what clients I am going to meet and where I am going to be sending clients to next.

I was lucky enough to start my travel journey when I graduated high school and moved to London, England to work and, from there, explored parts of Europe and the Middle East for 6 months.

When I returned I was hooked on the world of travel. I completed the two year Travel and Tourism Course at Grant McEwan College in Edmonton and graduated in 1999.

Some of the countries I have had the pleasure to visit include: England, Holland, Greece, Turkey, Israel, Egypt, Singapore, Indonesia, Peru, Honduras, Belize, Mexico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Antigua, St. Thomas, St. John, Tortola and throughout the USA and Canada.

I have been with Calgary Co-op Travel - Shawnessy since 2008. I enjoy each and everyday that I come to work as no one day is the same. My job enables me to send people on trips of a lifetime which gives me such satisfaction and fulfillment. Travel is my passion and I couldn't ask for a more rewarding career.

Leah, Travel Consultant

I graduated from the travel counselling program at SAIT in 2002 and have since gained over six years of experience helping others plan their perfect vacation.

I have recently travelled to the Riviera Nayarit but have also enjoyed travels to Montreal, Puerto Plata, Ixtapa, Honolulu, and Lahaina.  My favourite destinations are Manila, New York City, and Las Vegas.
