I have been in the travel industry for 15 years, 12 of which have been with Calgary Co-op Travel. As a parent, I have experienced the challenges of not only travelling with a child, but one with food allergies. I look forward to sharing advice and tips on creating a safe and enjoyable vacation for you and your family.

Through the years, I have had the great fortune to visit many wonderful places including Amsterdam, Belgium, Oahu, Maui, Las Vegas, Arizona, Bahamas, Puerto Vallarta, Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic and Grenada, West Indies to name a few. I have cruised with Carnival on a short Mexican Riviera itinerary that combines well with time at Disneyland! Without a doubt, my most amazing adventure was in Costa Rica on a Caribbean eco-tour. White-water rafting, zip lining through the tree tops, and exploring jungle canals for wildlife were just a few of the many rewarding experiences. After all, travel is not so much a destination as what you do when you get there.

Even before entering the travel industry as a career, I have been an avid traveler all my life. 

Growing up in Germany and moving to Canada at a young age has well and truly left me with the ‘travel bug’ and I can’t wait to share my experiences with you! 

My biggest travel adventure to date was spending two years in beautiful Australia.  From the spectacular sights of the Great Barrier Reef in the east to the wonderful culture in the Perth and Margaret River regions in the west, from the tropical forests full of adventures and wildlife in the north to the majestic Blue Mountains and rolling Nullarbor Plains in the south, Australia is truly a country with an adventure waiting to happen. I have been in the travel industry and with Calgary Co-op Travel for eight years. I am a Certified Adventure Travel Specialist and a European Coach Tour Specialist. I have a passion for exotic places and have been fortunate enough to have travelled to many different destinations.

Some of my most memorable travel experiences are riding the Reunification Express Railroad through Vietnam, visiting the magnificent temples of Angkor Wat in Cambodia, walking along the Great Wall of China, and most recently sailing down the Nile on a traditional felucca in Egypt. I have also travelled to Northern and Western Europe both independently and as part of a European Coach Tour, and have visited many spots in the Caribbean by both land and sea. I have been a travel consultant with Co-op Travel since 2003 and in the travel industry since 2001. I am a Sandals Certified Specialist, and through the years I have built a strong reputation as a group specialist with an extensive background in wedding, cruise, corporate and family reunion groups.

I have had the opportunity to travel to a variety of destinations, and see the world by land and sea. Cruising is one of my favourite ways to experience the world. I have cruised with Royal Caribbean and Princess through the Caribbean, with Norwegian down the Mexican Riviera, and through Canada and New England with Holland America.

I have also enjoyed all-inclusive resorts in Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, Mayan Riviera, and Punta Cana. Travels in Europe and the UK have taken me to Northern and Southern Ireland, London and Paris. My all-time favourite destination is Disneyland. I have been many times, as there is no better way to break free of our adult stresses and feel like a kid again than with Mickey Mouse!

I started in the travel industry in 1979 with Southern Frontier Airlines where, in addition to checking in guests and luggage handling, my tasks included radio communication with the pilots when they were landing at the small airstrip in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan.   

I have remained in the travel industry since that time, witnessing its incredible evolution. After 30 years, the one constant for me continues to be my love of travel. My current travel favourite is cruising with Holland America Line to wonderful and exotic destinations, including the South Pacific, Europe, Alaska, and the Panama Canal. 

I am conversant in American Sign Language.

I have been in the travel business for over 25 years, and have a well-rounded knowledge of the industry. Over my career, I have worked both as a leisure and corporate travel consultant, and as a wholesaler for Central and South America. I have spent the last six years working in the online and call centre environment.

My latest travels have taken me to Bali, Hong Kong, Cancun, and Puerto Vallarta. I have also sailed on the Norwegian Sun to Alaska.

I am fluent in Spanish.

I have been with Calgary Co-op Travel since February 2011, after driving out "west" from London Ontario.  I am passionate about travel, and making certain that all details of my client's vacations meet and exceed their expectations.

My personal Bucket List includes visiting Ireland, travelling to a rainforest, and seeing gorillas in their natural habitat.

My specialty is promoting and selling Contiki Tours, a company which offers tours worldwide, for 18-35 year olds.

I have been with Calgary Co-op Travel for 14 years.  Travelling is my passion, I love talking about it, doing it, and especially planning it.  I'm very lucky to be able to work in an industry that I feel so strongly about.  I have planned holidays of a lifetime, multi generational milestone celebration experiences, last minute quick getaways, business trips to the arctic and much more.   Personally I have visited countries in North, Central and South America, Europe and Asia.  I have also cruised six times on five different cruise lines.   My favorite memories include (but are not limited to) hiking the Inca trail in Peru, gazing over Rio De Janerio a top of Sugar Loaf Mountain, and staying with a very caring and proud Cuban family in a small town just outside of Havana. These memories will last a lifetime, and in some ways form the person I am.  I believe everyone should see at least some part of the world at some time of there lives.  Where ever your travels may take you, I would love to help you plan the way.

I love travel! I love to talk about travel and I love to help others plan their travel. So much so that I have made a 30+ year career of travel, 24 of those years with Calgary Co-op Travel.

My college major was history and that passion combined with the experience of going to the source has grown into a never-ending journey of adventure. I have been to many countries in Europe with my main focus being the Mediterranean area. Having lived in Greece, it has a special place in my heart with its beautiful islands, history and people. I have been to many of the Mediterranean countries, from Portugal right around to Egypt, and love to share my travel stories. I have also been to Asia, South America and many places our own continent.

Travel adventures I have had in the past five years include destinations in Greece, Hong Kong, Thailand, China, Scotland, Mexican Riviera cruise, Peru, California, European river cruise, Victoria, B.C, Alaska cruise, Jordan and Egypt.
