My Panama Adventure
Panama is a fairly new destination for an all-inclusive getaway from Calgary so I was very excited for the opportunity to experience it first hand.
The flight to Panama is quite long so a one week stay is really not long enough to truly immerse yourself in this country’s experience. I would recommend a two-week holiday and stay at two resorts. Transat Holidays and Nolitours both allow an eleven day beach stay combined with a three day city or rainforest stay. Go and enjoy the beach, relax rejuvenate at the Royal Decameron, Sheraton Bijao, Westin Playa Bonita or the Intercontinental Playa Bonita. Then go back to Panama City for three nights, tour the canal, shop and experience the vibrant night life. Or if you are a nature lover like me, spend your last three nights at the Gamboa Rainforest Resort. Bird watch for those beautiful parrots, take a boat ride to see the monkeys and maybe a sloth, or just enjoy the sanctuary of this lovely resort.

Honeymoon in Greece
My most memorable trip so far has been my honeymoon in Greece.
We started out in the busy city of Athens where we visited the Acropolis and the Parthenon to experience the ancient history. We continued on to Olympia which was the birth place of the Olympic games. We actually ran a lap around the original track. It was so surreal. We couldn't miss Delphi before heading back to Athens which for me was my favourite. The beauty, the history and the spectacular ruins we breathtaking. I haven't seen such a beautiful sunset over such a pristine valley before. We saw the temple of Apollo which was another great site to see. Also to be able to experience such great food in Greece was amazing. The people there were great, very positive and loved to dance.
Our trip ended with a three day Greek Island cruise sailing with Louise Cruise Lines. The ship was wonderful, lots to do, great food, and wonderful staff. We started off in Mykonos. This island was known for its party culture, which defineitely comes alive at night. I saw my first pelican walking the streets and I fell in love with the beautiful wind mills on the hills above the beaches. It made breathtaking photos at sunset.
Our second island was Crete, the biggest island, also most like a city compared to most of them. We did a guided tour of the Minoan Palace of Knossos. Very neat to see. I would recommend to do it if you had the time. Our other stop was Patmos where we just relaxed on the beach. It was nice to just soak in some sun on land instead of on the cruise ship.
Our last island was Santorini which was my favourite. It's true when they say it is postcard perfect! You won't find anywhere else like it, the blue and white buildings make it unique. We spent a good hour on the cliffs just admiring the views. We had a great adventure experience doing a donkey ride down the cliff which was something not everyone would do, but we love experiencing the culture of the country we are in. Overall Greece was amazing and I am so happy we got to experience as much as we did.
