Calgary Health Region Influenza Clinics

Important Notice: Change in Flu Shot Clinic Locations

Over the past number of years, the Calgary Health Region and Calgary Co-op have partnered to host influenza clinics at Calgary Co-op food centres across the city. As many of you know who have attended these clinics at our locations in the past few years, the volume of people attending the clinics has grown significantly resulting in severe overcrowding in our food centres, which led to safety concerns at some locations last year. Further, the CHR had been experiencing difficulties in providing enough onsite CHR staff to meet the demand of hosting so many clinics across the city.

As a result, the long-term partnership between the CHR and Calgary Co-op for the delivery of the yearly influenza vaccination program has come to a close. The affiliation between Calgary Co-op and the Calgary Health Region was very successful, and our organizations will continue to work closely on various health initiatives in the future.

Influenza vaccinations will be available on a drop-in basis between October 16, 2007 and March 31, 2008.
