Saving Lives, Saving the Planet

Calgary Co-op pharmacies are getting even greener with their new pill bottle recycling program. The first of its kind in Calgary, our pharmacies are not only helping you with your medical needs, they are helping the environment too. In partnership with Recycle @ Work, Calgary Co-op pharmacies will be able to recycle thousands of pill bottles that would otherwise go to the local landfill. Will it really make a difference? Yes! Each day, our pharmacies go through thousands of plastic pill bottles, so this is just one more way Calgary Co-op is making headway in its efforts to protect the environment! Don't forget, we also offer a service to dispose of unused medications - just stop by one of our pharmacies and deposit them in the designated sealed container! It's that easy.
