One Stop Travel Health Clinics

Helping you travel with confidence.

Our Travel Health Pharmacists have received their Certificate in Travel Health™ from the International Society of Travel Medicine (ISTM). We offer a full range of services including:

  • All consultations, vaccinations and prescriptions
  • Yellow Fever designated sites
  • Accessories including first aid kits, compression socks, mosquito nets and repellents

Flu Shots

All Co-op pharmacies will be offering in-store complimentary flu shot immunizations.  Shots are available by appointment or on a walk-in basis.

All individuals must live, work or go to school in Alberta, must be nine years of age or older and must show their Alberta Health Care card to be eligible for flu shots.

Anaphylaxis Awareness

Being informed and well prepared is essential when dealing with these issues.

Come talk to your pharmacist about an anaphylaxis "toolkit", expiry reminder service for auto-injectors, proper administration technique and safe disposal.

Shingles Vaccination

One in three Canadians will experience shingles in their lifetime and the risk increases after 50 years old.
Acute pain is the most common symptom and is present in 100% of patients. With vaccination your risk of suffering with severe and long-lasting pain is reduced by 73%.

Are you at risk?

  • Are you over 50?
  • Have you ever had chickenpox?

If you answered yes to the above you are at risk for shingles. Even if you have never had chickenpox you are still eligible to receive the vaccine.

Diabetes Health Services

Our Certified Diabetes Educators have been trained to provide one-on-one consultations which may include:

  • Your history of diabetes
  • Blood glucose and/or A1C level assessment
  • Proper use of blood glucose monitors
  • Provide diabetes action plan for patient self-management
  • Review proper injection techniques if applicable
  • Insulin start and therapy adjustments based on the latest guidelines

Respiratory Health Services

Breathe easy.

Do you cough regularly? Find yourself short of breath? Are colds lasting longer than they should? Our lung health experts can help you manage respiratory conditions like Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

What does an asthma/COPD consultation consist of?

The Calgary Co-op Certified Respiratory Educator will review the following:

  • lung assessment test
  • Disease education on asthma and COPD
  • Proper inhaler techniques
  • Provide asthma/COPD action plan for patient self-management
  • Follow-up phone calls or appointments

Compounding Services

Our pharmacies can custom compound a variety of medications to meet your unique needs:

  • Liquid preparation or lozenges
  • Gummie bear chews
  • Topical pain creams 
  • Compound hormone preparations, using plant-based hormones, in either pill form, suppositories, or in a meter-dosed pump cream.
  • Medicated chew treats for your beloved furry friend!

Tobacco Reduction

We can help you quit for good.

Our trained Tobacco Reduction Pharmacists can help you quit or reduce the number of cigarettes you smoke. We offer one-on-one consultations and will work with you to develop a plan that works.

Research has shown that while the average smoker tries to quit approximately seven times, the most successful quit attempts are usually associated with drug therapy and behavioral counseling.

The Calgary Co-op Tobacco Reduction Program provides:

  • Tobacco and how nicotine works in the brain
  • Smoking cessation products
  • Self-management methods to overcome withdrawal symptoms and relapses
  • Multiple follow-up opportunities with patients (in-person or over the phone)

Customized Packaging

We offer either individual pouches or blister pack cards to organize your medications. It’s convenient, easy, personalized and secure.

Our special PACMED® pouches are a convenient way to tear-away only the dose you need for that day and time, rather than carrying a whole container of pills.

Walk in or book an appointment to have the following medications injected the same day it is prescribed.

  • Travel vaccinations

  • Zostavax (for shingles prevention)

Medication Reviews 

Our pharmacist can create a personalized care plan just for you. This helps ensure you understand the medications you are taking and helps identify and solve any medication-related problems you might have. 

Talk to any of our pharmacists to determine the best time of day to take your medications, check for drug interactions, review side effects and develop a medication history.

Free Delivery


Need a prescription refill but can’t get to a pharmacy? No problem. Simply call in your refill to one of our pharmacies and we’ll happily deliver it directly to your home - free of charge.  



The licensee is required to provide, on the request of the patient, the name and practice permit of any regulated member who provides a pharmacy service to the patient or who engages in the practice of pharmacy with respect to a patient.

We ensure that only qualified pharmacists practice in our pharmacies. They must be licensed in the province of Alberta, and must maintain their knowledge and skills at the highest level possible.

Governance in Alberta

The Alberta College of Pharmacists governs the pharmacy profession in Alberta to support and protect the public’s health and well-being. They set and enforce a high standard of competence and ethical conduct.

Patients who have concerns about the pharmacy services they receive are encouraged to discuss the problem directly with the pharmacist. Every pharmacy has a pharmacy licensee, responsible for the policies and procedures at the pharmacy, who can also address your concerns. If necessary, you may ask to speak to the licensee.
