Calgary Co-op Announces Board of Directors and Board Officers for 2006-2007

March 16, 2006, Calgary, Alberta - At its annual general meeting on March 14, 2006, incumbent directors Randy Kott and Johanna Bates were re-elected to the Calgary Co-op board of directors for three-year terms. Lisa Wise was also elected to the board for a three-year term to replace director Connie Rosenstein, who retired from the board on March 14, 2006, after serving two terms.

The board of directors also appointed its board officers for 2006-2007. Alex Ingram, who joined the board in 2004, was appointed board chair. Stuart Cantrill was appointed vice chair and Terry Geib was appointed board secretary. Also serving on the board of directors are Colleen Hillaby, Peter Stacey-Salmon, and Barry Ashton.

"As Calgary Co-op celebrates its 50 th year of operations, I am honoured to have been appointed board chair by my peers," says Ingram. In assuming my new role as board chair, I will work hard to ensure that Calgary Co-op remains a strong, viable part of the communities we serve and that we continue to deliver exceptional products and services to our members and customers."
