Calgary Co-op Celebrates Children's Charity – 15th Annual Bowl for Kids gets a boost from title sponsor, Calgary Co-op

April 6, 2006, Calgary, Alberta - With the 15th Annual Bowl for Kids coming to a close, Calgary Co-op's CEO, Ken McCullough will be on hand at Chinook Bowladrome ( B75 Chinook Centre, 6455 Macleod Trail South) on Friday, April 7, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. to present Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Calgary along with the Canadian Progress Club-Stampede City with a cheque for $15,000. Calgary Co-op has been supporting Bowl for Kids for over seven years, having fulfilled the coveted role of title sponsor for the last three years. Special guests joining Ken McCullough are Steve Peake, Board President, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Calgary, Sharon Moore, Executive Director, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Calgary, and Chris Moffatt, Canadian Progress Club- Stampede City.

Bowl for Kids 2006 started on March 9 and runs until April 8. Last year, the event raised over $263,000 worth of pledges and entertained more than 2,500 bowlers. As the results continue to be tallied for this year's event, event organizers are looking forward to the outcome. "This year's event is marking a significant milestone for Bowl for Kids," says organizer, Jeremy Gocal, "Every year we are so impressed by the dedication of Calgarians to go above and beyond the pledge requirements."

Calgary Co-op has over 40 teams participating in this year's event.
