Calgary Co-op Announces New Board of DIrectors and New Board Officers for 2005-2006

February 14, 2005, Calgary, Alberta - At its annual general meeting on Saturday, February 12, 2005, incumbent directors Barry Ashton and Stuart Cantrill were re-elected to the Calgary Co-op board of directors for a three-year term. Terry Geib was also elected to the board for a three-year term to replace the board position held by Peter Tarrant, who retired at the end of his term on February 12, 2005 after serving on the board for the past three years.

The board of directors also appointed its board officers for 2005-2006. Barry Ashton was appointed board chair for a fifth consecutive term. Alex Ingram, who joined the board in 2004, was appointed vice chair, and Stuart Cantrill was appointed board secretary.

"Mr. Tarrant served Calgary Co-op extremely well in the past three years. His service, dedication and commitment to good governance and serving the best interests of Calgary Co-op members has been commendable, and we sincerely thank him for his contributions to Calgary Co-op," says Barry Ashton.

Also serving on the Calgary Co-op board of directors are incumbent directors Connie Rosenstein, Colleen Hillaby, Johanna Bates, Randy Kott, and Peter Stacey-Salmon.
