Calgary Co-op Announces Board of Directors Election Results and Board Officers for 2007

March 16, 2007, Calgary, Alberta - At its annual general meeting on March 13, 2007, incumbent director Alex Ingram was re-elected to the Calgary Co-op board of directors for a three year term. Terry Semeniuk and Laura Sullivan were newly elected to the board each for a three year term to replace retiring directors Colleen Hillaby and Peter Stacey-Salmon.

The board of directors also appointed its board officers for 2007-2008. Stuart Cantrill was appointed board chair, Randy Kott was appointed vice chair, and Terry Geib was re-appointed board secretary. Also serving on the board of directors are Johanna Bates, Barry Ashton and Lisa Wise.

"I am extremely honoured to be appointed board chair," says Cantrill. "In assuming my new role as board chair, I will work closely with the board and executive management team to ensure that Calgary Co-op continues towards its vision of being the premier shopping destination in the communities we serve."
