Retail Trainee Programs

As a part of our commitment to the development of our employees, Calgary Co-op offers employees an opportunity to take part in specialized training programs as an avenue towards a future career. 

Meat Cutter. As a Meat Cutter Trainee, employees receive a guaranteed placement to complete a paid practicum at one of our food centre locations while completing their Meat Cutter Certification. 

Meat Wrapper. Meat Wrapper trainees receive paid one-on-one training with an experienced Meat Wrapper or Meat Cutter and a guaranteed placement at one of our food centre locations. 

Bakery Decorator. As a Bakery Decorator Trainee, employees receive paid one-on-one training with an experienced Bakery Decorator and a guaranteed placement at one of our food centre locations. 

Gas Bar Supervisor. Gas Bar Supervisor trainees receive paid one-on-one training with an experienced Gas Bar Supervisor or Manager and a guaranteed placement at one of our gas bar locations.
