Employee Recognition

At Calgary Co-op, we believe we have the top employees in the industry. When our employees perform beyond expectations, accomplish difficult objectives and surpass goals, we recognize those achievements.

An example of our rewards program includes, but is not limited to, the following: 

  • 'Shooting Star' awards for demonstrating excellent performance and customer service.
  • 'Above and Beyond' awards for actions that impact more than the employee's own department.

Calgary Co-op is proud of our exceptional number of long serving and dedicated employees. We celebrate employee career milestones at one year of service, five years of service, and every five years thereafter.  Employees are recognized at award receptions and banquets, in company publications and celebration posters, and in media announcements.

Eligible retiring employees also receive a retirement gift and we invite them to a special retirement luncheon to honour their years of service and to celebrate with them as they look ahead to their well-deserved retirement.
